The Gigabyte X870E AERO X3D Wood is built for that. The X870E chipset carries the extra lanes. Two Realtek 5 GbE LAN chips handle wired traffic at full speed. USB4 over Type-C (CPU + ASMedia controller) gives you a single-cable connection to an external GPU, dock, or high-speed SSD enclosure. Wi-Fi 7 via MediaTek MT7927 keeps wireless current.

Expansion: one PCIe x16 slot (PCIEX16) and one PCIe x16 slot running at x8 (PCIEX8), both CPU-integrated, plus a chipset PCIe x16 slot running at x4. Storage: two CPU M.2 connectors (2580/2280 and 22110/2280) and two chipset M.2 connectors (22110/2280, PCIe 4.0 x4/x2), plus four SATA 6 Gb/s ports.
