Your broadcast feed is coming in on SDI. Your monitoring panel or edit bay wants HDMI. The VC480 handles that swap in real time, fully digital, with zero quality loss on either the audio or video side. It auto-detects whether you're feeding it SD-SDI, HD-SDI, or 3G-SDI – no menu-diving to tell it what's arriving. Pushes out up to 1080p60 with eight channels of 48kHz audio, both analogue stereo and coaxial digital. The buffered loop-through output lets you daisy-chain a second monitor without signal degradation. Reclocking keeps cascaded RG6 runs stable well past the usual limits: 90 metres on 3G-SDI, 150 on HD-SDI, 300 on SD-SDI. Locking power connector means nothing rattles loose in a half-rack at 2am.
