The ATEN CL5708IM kills that. One 1U slide-out housing holds a 17-inch LED-backlit LCD, a full keyboard, and a touchpad. Plug in up to 8 machines locally. Then open a browser from anywhere on the network — or the internet — and you're in. TCP/IP handles the transport; TLS 1.2 and RC4 encryption keep your keystrokes and video feed locked down.
Need more than 8? Daisy-chain up to 15 additional switches. That's 128 computers from one console. Up to 32 people can log in at the same time, and the built-in Message Board lets them talk through a fix without a separate chat app.
The KVM section detaches from the switch body, so when something needs servicing you're not pulling the whole unit out of the rack. Panel Array Mode puts every server's video output on one screen so you can spot the red light before it becomes an incident.
Mouse DynaSync keeps your local and remote pointers in lockstep regardless of what acceleration settings the server is running. No more chasing a cursor that drifts.
