You're in front of a rack with six, twelve, maybe sixteen servers and you need to check each one. Pulling cables, swapping monitors, logging in and out – it's eating your whole afternoon.
The CL5716I kills that. One 19-inch LED-backlit display, one keyboard, one touchpad, all in a single 1U slideaway housing. Slide it out of the rack, do your work, push it back in. Done.
It's IP-based. Your IT person in the next suburb – or the next state – logs in through a browser and works the same console you're on. Up to 32 concurrent user logins per bus. The built-in Message Board lets them talk to each other mid-session without a phone call.
Security's sorted: TLS 1.2 encryption for the browser session, RC4 encryption on the actual keyboard, mouse, and video data. No plaintext sitting on your network.
Panel Array Mode shows multiple server video outputs at once instead of flipping through them one by one. Mouse DynaSync keeps local and remote pointers locked together regardless of what acceleration settings the server is running.
The KVM section detaches from the switch section if you need to swap a board or run diagnostics. No ripping the whole unit out of the rack.
Daisy-chain up to 15 additional switches behind it to manage 256 computers from this single console
