Your cable either charges or moves data. Not both at speed. And the one that tries? It frays at the connector within a month.
The Simplecom CAU520 does both properly. Plug the USB-A end into your PC and the USB-C end into an external drive – you get 10Gbps transfer (USB 3.2 Gen 2). Or flip it: wall charger or power bank on one side, phone or tablet on the other, and you're pulling 12V/3A Quick Charge 3.0.
The USB-C connector has a ribbed grip so it seats every time. The cord is nylon braided, not the thin plastic that splits at the bend. Both ends are aluminium alloy. A built-in 56K resistor keeps the charge safe for whatever you're plugging in.
2 metres long. Backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. RRP $16.36.
