Western Digital WD Purple 8TB Surveillance HDD – 3.5" SATA, 256MB Cache, Up to 64 Cameras, 3-Year Warranty

Your NVR's been dropping frames on the back cameras again, or you're about to hit the 6TB ceiling and lose a week of footage. This is the drive that stops that happening.

The WD Purple 8TB (WD85PURZ) is built for one job: writing video, all day, every day, without blinking. WD AllFrame firmware keeps 64 HD cameras streaming into up to 16 bays at a sustained 180TB/year workload rate. No dropped frames. No silent gaps in your recording.

5640 RPM CMR platter, 256MB cache, SATA interface – it slots straight into any standard NVR or DVR bay. If your current drive is a desktop model doing surveillance duty, this is the upgrade that actually holds up under continuous write load.
