The CM423V3 sits behind your AV gear, pulls embedded audio out of HDMI input — or straight off your ARC-enabled TV — and hands it to your speakers via optical SPDIF or 3.5mm stereo. Both outputs work at the same time for 2.0-channel audio. Video passes right through at 4K@60Hz, no quality loss.
USB-powered (micro USB, 5V/1A), so you plug it into your TV's spare USB port or a wall adapter. No drivers, no apps, no configuration. Plug in the HDMI lead, flick the ARC switch if you're pulling from the TV, and you're making sound.
Ships with a 0.5m HDMI lead, an optical audio cable, a USB power cable, and a quick-start manual. Compact at 75 × 55 × 25mm, 43g — it disappears behind your rack or under the TV shelf.
