Same job as the plastic one, but this one sits on your desk like it belongs there. The NU304 is a USB-A to RJ45 Gigabit adapter in a solid aluminium shell. 1 Gbps hard-wired connection, auto-negotiation, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN tagging – all handled without you touching a settings menu. 32 grams, 13 cm tail, plugs into any USB 3.0 (or 2.0) port and you're on the wire. No drivers to hunt down on Windows 8+ or macOS 10.9+. When Wi-Fi's acting flaky and your deadline isn't waiting, this is the two-second fix
