You've got a USB-C cable, a new phone, or a USB-C charger sitting on your desk. Your laptop? Still USB-A. Sound familiar. This little adapter fixes that gap in one plug.
The Simplecom CA132 turns any standard USB-A port into a fully reversible USB-C socket. No fiddling, no "which way is up" guessing. The built-in switch chip handles orientation for you. Plug it in, done.
It pushes 10Gbps on both sides of the USB-C connector, so your data transfer isn't the bottleneck. Charging tops out at 12V/3A — plenty for a phone or tablet top-up from an older brick. PD charging isn't supported, and it won't pass video signals (HDMI, VGA, DP), so keep that in mind if you're thinking about a monitor hookup.
The cable holder clips the adapter onto your lead so it doesn't vanish into the drawer between uses. At 6 grams, it's the kind of thing you forget is there until you need it.
Works with laptops, desktops, power banks, game consoles, headphones — anything USB-C that needs a data or charge link to a USB-A host
