Your amp has RCA inputs. Your receiver, TV, or soundbar outputs digital optical or coaxial. You've got the two ends but no way to connect them, and you don't want to rip out your existing speaker setup.
The Simplecom CM121 takes that SPDIF digital signal — optical Toslink or coaxial — and converts it to clean analog L/R RCA stereo. Plug into your amplifier, powered speakers, or a 3.5mm headphone via the included adapter. Done.
Handles sampling rates from 32kHz up to 96kHz at 24-bit. Low power draw: it runs off the included USB wall charger or any USB port. At 78g and 60x55x20mm, it sits on a shelf and forgets it's there.
One thing to know before you buy: this is PCM only. If your source is outputting Dolby Digital, DTS, or 5.1/7.1 surround, the converter won't decode it — you'll get noise. Make sure your device's audio output is set to PCM/LPCM first. And it's digital-to-analog only; it doesn't go the other way
