Two laptops, one monitor. Or one laptop, two monitors. And every time you want to switch, you're unplugging and re-plugging a DisplayPort cable behind the desk. By the third swap in a day, your fingers are sore and the connector's getting loose.
The Simplecom CM202 is a bi-directional 2-way DP switch. Hit the toggle button and you're on the other source or the other display. No cable swaps. No fumbling behind the desk at 7:45am before the shift starts.
DisplayPort 1.4 compliant, 32Gbps bandwidth. That covers 8K@30Hz, 4K@120Hz, 2K@144Hz, or 1080p@240Hz. HDR passes through. Backwards compatible with earlier DP versions.
Aluminium housing keeps the chip cool under sustained load. At 35g and 59x53x15mm, it sits on the desk edge and you forget it's there. Powered by USB-C (DC 5V); the power adapter isn't included, but any USB-C charger or port works.
One note: in 1-in/2-out mode, the two displays can't show simultaneously — it's a toggle, not a split. And keep total cable length (input + output) under 3m for a stable signal
