Sophos XGS 6500 Security Firewall Appliance – 2U Rack, 120G Firewall, 109.8G VPN, 8xGbE + 12x10Gb SFP+

Your network's getting bigger. More encrypted traffic, more cloud apps, more endpoints to protect. A mid-range box just can't keep up, and you know it.

The Sophos XGS 6500 is the 2U rack appliance for organisations that need serious throughput without splitting their security stack across three vendors. 120 Gbps firewall throughput. 53.5 Gbps threat protection. 109.8 Gbps IPsec VPN. All handled by dedicated Xstream Flow processors, so your CPU isn't choking on TLS inspection while the rest of the traffic queues up.

You get 8 gigabit copper ports and 12 SFP+ 10-gigabit fibre ports built in. Need more? Two Flexi Port slots (plus two more for high-density modules) let you swap in 8-port GE, 4-port 10GE, or even a 12-port GE + 4-port 2.5GE module. Max port density hits 68 with the right mix.

Redundancy is sorted out of the box: two hot-swap power supplies and dual SSDs with hardware RAID baked into the CPU. No single point of failure keeping your Monday morning stand-up hostage.

Transceivers are sold separately, so factor those in before you rack it up.

RRP $49,903. If you're running a complex multi-site or distributed setup and need one appliance that actually holds the line, this is the one.
