Corrofix Rust Converter does the chemistry for you. It's a mildly acidic solution that penetrates the rust and converts it into a black iron surface. Not a coat sitting on top. The rust itself becomes a waterproof, paintable layer. One application blocks further corrosion and gives your primer or paint something to actually grip.
