Most Arduino boards bolt a second chip onto the board just to handle USB talk. The Duinotech Leonardo folds both the main controller and USB communication into a single ATMega32u4, which means you get more advanced USB functions out of the box without an extra chip eating up space or power. You also get 12 analogue inputs (two more than a standard Uno) and an extra PWM channel. Power it from USB at 5V or feed 7–12V into the vin pin and let the on-board regulator sort the rest. If your project needs more IO headroom and native USB, this is the board to wire up first
