This Jaycar soft shackle solves that problem. Feed the pre-tied knot through the eyelet — no tools, no fumbling with a rope in the mud. The eyelet geometry stops the knot from pulling back through under load. When you're done, reverse it and go.

You get a 152mm eye (bigger than a comparable steel D-shackle), 10mm rope rated to 13,200kg, and a carry bag so it lives in your recovery kit where it belongs.

One important note: this is a recovery shackle. It's not a substitute for a D-shackle on a tow bar or in constant-load service. Use it to pull a mate out of the sand, then put it back in the bag.
