Your 12-inch roller spindle's coming loose, or the galvanising is grinding off at the bracket face? This one-hole, 20 mm dia hot dipped galvanised spindle is built to stay put. One end is flattened so it won't back out of the bracket. Slot a galvanised flat washer between the flattened end and the outside face of your roller bracket, and you're sorted. Grease isn't strictly necessary, though a light coat does no harm
