Your monofilament stretches, kills your sensitivity, and tangles at the worst moment. This 300m spool of Edge 15lb PE 8-strand braid gives you low stretch and the strength to feel a flick on the other end of the line. Orange colour means you're not hunting for the tail end in your drink. 15lb is the sweet spot for general saltwater casting — strong enough for the fish, light enough to keep your casts long
