This Ubiquiti bidirectional module solves exactly that. Two transceivers, one per end, simplex LC connector. Each carries 10 Gbps in its own direction over the same single-mode fiber strand. Up to 10 km.

It's the original UniFi 2-pack, so both ends match. No mixing vendors. No wavelength guessing. Patch the simplex LC lead in and your bidirectional link is live.
