The GCR2000SFP takes a standard RJ45 gigabit link and hands it off to any SFP (mini-GBIC) module you choose — multimode, singlemode, WDM, your call. Drop it on a desk as a standalone unit, or slide it into an Alloy DCR12 chassis when the rack gets crowded. Hot-swap either way; no downtime, no service window.
Fibre range stretches to 120 km with the right SFP module in that slot. Link Fault Passthrough works in both Forced and Far-end Fault modes, so a dead far end doesn't sit silent on your network. Power it with the included plugpack or a USB port — useful when the rack has spare USB but no free PSU outlet.
