The ATEN CN9850 puts your keyboard, mouse, and 4K monitor on the other end of an IP connection. Dual LAN ports mean one NIC dropping doesn't kill your session mid-reboot. Dual power means a UPS hiccup doesn't lock you out entirely. Up to 32 people can be in that console at once – IT on-site, a contractor on their laptop, the ops manager watching from the office three doors down.
No software to install. Open your browser, log in, you're at the machine. The front-panel mini USB port means you can plug in a laptop for a quick fix without dragging a KVM cable across the floor. RS-232 serial control and a 5-pin relay terminal block handle the legacy gear still living in the rack.
